DMCA & Copyright Policy

Copyright notices should be sent to the designated agent at legal@codefrens.app. Put “DMCA notice” in the subject line.

• identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
• identification of the material you want removed and enough information to locate it (the room link, and where in the code or chat the material appears);
• your name, address, telephone number and email address;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
• a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf;
• your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices may be ignored. Knowingly filing a false claim can expose you to liability for damages.

We review notices promptly. If the claim appears valid we remove or disable access to the material, and where possible notify the person who posted it. Repeat infringers may be blocked from the service.

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to legal@codefrens.app including the removed material and its former location, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court, and your signature.

Rooms are ephemeral: shared code and chat are working data for a live session and may already have been deleted by the time a notice arrives. Coding problems in the library are written for CodeFrens; if you believe a problem statement reproduces your text, tell us which one and we will amend or remove it.
